Baby Girl Album

Well I have been a little blog slacker lately! It was a busy week and an even busier weekend. Hopefully things will be back on track a bit next week.

I made this baby album last weekend for a friend's baby's baptism gift.

Stuff I Love!

Look what I got in the mail yesterday!! I am so excited...I have wanted these Puffy Thickers for a while and could not find them any of my local or usual online stores. I got these off eBay and they finally arrived yesterday! I was dancing around so happy, they are so cute! My husband and kids thought I was nuts, but I got me my Puffy Thickers!! I hope I won't be too afraid to use them! And as a little treat to myself I bought myself a new pair of scissors today. I have had a pair of Fiskars fine tip scissors since I started scrapping, maybe 11 years ago and they are not working as well as they should. I do quite a bit of cutwork and they are getting a bit stiff to close and not doing the little corners very well. So I got myself this pair of Honey Bee scissors today and I gotta say they cut like butter!! I love them and they have a nice little safety cover to keep them sharp. :)

And some more cute things! Shannon just put these up in the Other Goodies section of Art Freckles. I am in love! I had to order all of them!! Can't wait to get them!

My Goals Creation for 2009

Well I am just so excited with what I made today that I have to show it off! Miranda had a challenge on SNS to make a layout/minibook or altered item for our new year's resolutions and this is what I came up with. I used my January SavvyNSassy Cocoa Cream DT kit as well as lots of October Afternoon and 2 types of Thickers.

I decided to combine my scrappy goals, health goals and family goals all on one board. I just love it and can't wait to hang it above my computer where I can see it every day!

Summertime Joy

For this layout I wanted to use up some of my old stash. I tied the ribbon through the buttons and added a rubon to the ribbon at the bottom of the page.

Cards

The 2 Pink Paislee cards were super quick to make with their postcard pp. For the Merry Christmas card I was trying a few new things (Utee with microbeads on a slide mount and inking on the metal) and it turned out pretty neat, though the card is very thick. For the Thank You card I was using up what was left from the Summertime Joy layout above.

Joy

This Pink Paislee transparency made for a very quick layout. I added some Fancy Pants chipboard, gems, Thickers and tied a bow with the ribbon from the kit.

Mimi & Bri

I tried out a bunch of new Chatterbox goodies on this one. I layered the CBX felt over top of the green ribbon.

Well I am very late in the announcements, but here they are!

December Art Freckles Creations

Well now that December is done I should post all my Art Freckles December kit creations. I got a lot done with the kit and I still have a few papers and quite a few embellishments left. I used up all the vintage lace though, yum!

I altered this Maya Road tin and made some cards to put in it.

I altered some wooden Christmas decorations.

Suprisingly I only did one layout with the kit LOL! I used lots of glitter on this page with the glue pen and glitter from the kit, as well as some glittery Thickers and Kaiser gems from my stash.

I altered this Karen Foster advent calendar for my son, then we filled it up with chocolates for the month of December.

I just loved using this kit. Unfortunately it's all sold out, so you can't get your hands on it. But stay tuned for the January kit which will be up on Saturday! I think it will sell out quick also!! Keep checking here.

New Contest

Art Freckles has the perfect new contest for the new year! Here are the details!

As promised, we are starting off the New Year with a fantastic new contest here at Art Freckles....
USE YOUR STASH!!!
This contest will run for 6 weeks, (from January 18th to February 28th, 2009.)
"How It Works"Each week you will be given a list of 'stash items' to use on a layout. Every item on the list is worth one (1) ballot. The more items on the list you incorporate into your layout, the more ballots you will earn.
"The Rules"
Your layout must be uploaded to the gallery, in the 'USE YOUR STASH' album, by the due date specified each week.
In the comments section of your upload, you must include the following information;
*which week the layout is for,
*what items from the stash list you've used on your layout.
A slides show will be created each week of your layouts, and shared on the Art Freckles blog.Please read and follow all instructions carefully! We will be sticklers when it comes to following the rules
