Christmas Gifts

I made a few Christmas gifts this year. My Mom knits gifts for people all the time, usually baby blankets...so I used a set of Stampin' Up knitting stamps to make a bunch of cards for her to give with her gifts. Here are a couple of the cards:

And I made this banner for my niece. It looks small in the photo, but it goes across the top of the door to her room. I love how it turned out!

Art Freckles January Kit Creations

Another month means another fabulous Art Freckles kit! This month's kit is called "First Kiss" and it's full beautiful Pink Paislee papers as well as Girls Paperie embellishments, ribbon, a butterfly and more! You can pick it up HERE.

I made 2 cards using the January sketch challenge from Art Freckles found HERE. The sketch is by Pagemaps.

I altered an old Making Memories package to make a cute gift box for tags and notecards.

I love when background papers don't need a lot added to them and there are lots of those kinds of papers in this kit!

The Paper Girl Sticker Market stickers come with so many different ones you'll be using them for a long time! There are the big alphas I used for "Miga", the more delicate pink alphas I used for "wear", the little tiny word stickers I used for my journalling, as well as some border stickers! And there are 2 sheets of the word stickers!!

I still have lots of the kit left, so I will probably do some more creating with it as the month goes by!
You can check out the other design team creations HERE. There will be more added as the month goes by also...
The Art Freckles January card kit is equally yummy. There are not very many left, you can find it HERE. Hopefully I will start making some cards with mine soon!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year 2011!! It's hard to believe another year has come and gone! It was another productive scrappy year for me...

In 2010 I managed to do:
-310 layouts (12 less than last year)
-183 cards (same as last year)
-43 altered items/minibooks (10 more than last year)

It felt like I didn't get as much done as I have in the past, but I guess I did!

I have not set any scrappy goals for 2011, but I really really want to use up some of my HUGE stash!! I have made a budget (both scrappy and non) and am planning on sticking with it! No shopping for a while...

I still have not finished scrapping our vacation from 2008 or Christmas 2008 so they are at the top of the list of things to do :) And I haven't printed any pics since April, so I think some new pics are in order!!

Here are pics of the handmade gifts Brielle and I made for Christmas this year.

She made "snowman soup" hot chocolate mix for all her friends:

And I made Chocolate Lover's Cookie mix in a jar. I used Stampin' Up matching paper and fabric. I really love the coordinating fabric lines they are coming out with!

All the best to everyone in 2011!!
