Halloween Fence Card How To

Here is a quick and easy Halloween card how-to for you! I made it for the Art Freckles Get Your Spook On online crop.

First gather your supplies:
-white cardstock
-black ink
-brads
-pumpkin stickers, die cuts etc.
-Halloween greeting stamp, stickers etc.
Cut 5 strips of white cardstock 6" x 1 1/8", 2 strips of white cardstock 5 5/8" x 1/2" and a rectangle of white cardstock 11 1/4" x 4 1/4".

Fold the large piece of cardstock in half to make a card 4 1/4" x 5 5/8".

Cut the tops of the 5 strips of cardstock into points and trim the other ends to different lengths for your fenceposts (4 3/4" at the shortest).
Ink all the edges with black ink.

Adhere your 5 fence posts to the front of the card. Ink your smaller 2 strips of cardstock and adhere across the card on top of the fence posts.

Embellish as desired!

Coffee Sleeve Album How To

This is a very easy album to make with the sleeves you get on coffee at Starbucks etc.


First gather your supplies: 2-3 coffee sleeves, matching paper, ribbon, stickers etc. For mine I used the Art Freckles 'Cuz It's My Birthday Kit. I only used 2 coffee sleeves.


Cut each of your coffee sleeves along the right hand seam and open up. Punch 2 holes with a Cropodile or hole punch along the centre seam to tie your ribbon. Line each of your other sleeves over top of your first, so all of your punched holes line up.

Embellish your pages as desired. You may need to trim a little off the ends of your middle pages so they don't stick out when the album is put together. I liked the look of the cardboard, so I left it, but you can trace around the sleeve and cut your paper to totally cover the sleeves if you like.

To tie your album together, put your album in order, open it up to the centre, thread your ribbon through the punched holes, fold closed and tie a tight knot and bow on the outside of the album.

Easter Bag/Basket Make 'n Take

Happy Easter everyone!! Here is the Easter basket make 'n take I did up for the Art Freckles online crop. Thanks to Martha Stewart for the inspiration!

Supplies:

-coloured paper bag (no handles)

-1 inch or wider ribbon to match bag

-large eyelets

-matching paper, letters, stickers, flowers etc. to decorate bag

-decorative edge scissors or border punch

First take your paper bag and fold about 1" over from the top 3 times. I found it a little tricky to do the first fold, so I tore a little bit on each side and once the first fold is done it's a lot easier to do the rest.Use decorative edge scissors or border punches to make a decorative edged paper strip to go around the edge of your bag.Decorate the front of your basket as desired.
Punch a hole in the side of your bag (middle of decorative edge) for your eyelet. Repeat on other side.Set your eyelets in the 2 holes.Put your ribbon through the first eyelet and tie it off, repeat for the second eyelet and tie off. Cut the ribbon ends off.And here is your finished basket! You can fill it with candy or eggs for Easter! Enjoy!!

Christmas Goodies

Well I have been busy making some Christmas items this week.

I made these yummy bags of hershey's chocolates. The how-to is from Carla at Lil Scrappers, you can find it right here. They are quick to do and will make great gifts!

I altered a bunch of old plastic packages and added chocolates for some sweet treats. Thanks to Ally Scraps for the idea!

And I filled a plain glass ball Christmas decoration with curled up strips of patterned Christmas paper and added a ribbon to hang it on the tree. Thanks Karla!!

Tonight I am working on putting rubons on more glass ball decorations and they are looking pretty cute, if I do say so myself! I'll be sharing pics tomorrow.

Chipboard Christmas Tag

Shannon gave a little mini tutorial on how to make these cute swivelling chipboard tags on Art Freckles blog. I had to make one as soon as I read it! I used a plain Bazzill tree chip, added some rubons, a die cut greeting and some ink, then attached it to a green chipboard tag. Too cute!
