Catching Up

Wow, where does the time go? June is almost gone already! 3 more days of school, then I have no more quiet afternoons to myself any more. I have been taking photos like crazy though, so there will be lots to scrap all winter. I just downloaded 255 pics to be printed last night. Can't wait to get them!!

Last week I received my May contest prize from WeScrap. I just love all of it and can't wait to use it!! Yummy!

I also received a prize rak from Adrienne on Scraptivity! last week for a guest DT challenge she ran. It was a set of Birthday rubons from Imaginisce. Love Imaginisce!! Thank you Adrienne!

The June Scraptivity! kit is yummy Fancy Pants and stitching templates.
I have done one layout with it so far. I used Deanne's Am I a Scrap Addict blog June 15th layout sketch for this one.
Tonight I'll update the SavvynSassy blog with my June projects. I'm sad that my designing time with SavvynSassy is up, but it has been a tonne of fun!!

SavvynSassy May Poolside Kit

I guess I am a little late posting this! I had so much fun working with the SNS May Poolside kit found here. I love ric rac, especially the huge ric rac so this was a perfect kit for me! I got lots done with the kit and still have ric rac left!!

Boy Mini Star Album
When I saw these Bazzill star chipboard chips I thought they would make a great mini album. I used small school photos of my son which were the perfect size. I used the medium light blue ric rac and the mini black ric rac to tie it together.

My Happy Girl layout

For this layout I tied the transparent flowers with the black mini ric rac after inking them with Stazon and I used the medium black ric rac as well.

Other supplies: Making Memories paper, flowers, brad and staples, Fancy Pants transparent flowers, Daisy D’s rubons, Cosmo Cricket blackboard, Pebbles Inc. & Dollar store letters, Stazon ink.

Untitled layout
I did this layout for Amanda’s black & white challenge, check it out here. I used the medium black ric rac and mini light blue ric rac.

Finally!

Months ago I bought several acrylic albums to do because I just LOVE the look of them!! BUT, I was too chicken to start them for fear I would mess them up. This month on SavvynSassy my challenge was to use anything see-thru on a layout, card or project (which you can see here) so I forced myself to do my acrylic album, finally. It took a while, but I absolutely loved doing it! I love using rubons because you can see them on both sides of the page. Gems are great too. You can use them on one side, then do the same design on the other side. It takes a lot of planning, but is well worth it, I think. I figured I would start simple and did an album with pics of the 4 seasons. And here it is!

What's New

I really need to get caught up here! Last week I received 5 raks from crops and NSD challenges, plus an order from Lil Scrappers, SavvynSassy and my May Scraptivity! kit (with lots of add ons LOL!) Was definitely a good mail week!! I should have taken pics of all the raks, I was definitely spoiled though!!

Here is the May Scraptivity kit. I love the colours and I have never even seen Heidi Swapp paper before.

Here is my June SavvynSassy ribbon DT kit. Hopefully I can start designing tonight. I am going to make a bunch of cupcake/ice cream cards, yum! I can't wait to see what Zany Zinnia kit will go with it!

SavvynSassy is looking for 2 new design team members for July-December. Check out the details here. It's such a fun team to be on!!

Deanne's Am I a Scrap Addict blog May 15th sketches are up, and here's my layout:

This coming Saturday (May 24th) Paper Paradise is having a garage sale and I have rented a table. Hopefully I can sell some of my excess and TLC scrap stuff. I'm sure I'll spend any money I make on more stuff at the garage sale LOL! Brielle & my Mom are going to come along, so it should be a fun morning!
That's it for now, will have to catch up more tomorrow!
