Thanksgiving Weekend

Well it has been a busy, but fun long weekend. Saturday my Mom and the kids and I went on a shopping trip to the States. It could have been a lot more fun if my poor daughter had not been so sick, but we managed. We did lots of shopping and here's all the scrapbooking goodies I bought:


Last night I started working on my October's "Go Coastal" Art Freckle's DT kit. What a delicious kit! It's hard to see the coating of sparkle/glitter on the MME papers in pics, but IRL wow!! I had such a productive night. Got a layout, a card and a gift card holder made with the kit, but you'll have to wait til I'm all done before I reveal them!! The kit is available for sale already, so go check it out!


I also altered these 2 Halloween pails for the kids last night. Of course it was a big argument this morning, they both wanted the orange pail. They were able to settle it by flipping a coin though.











In other news...WeScrap is having a Wicked Halloween online crop October 24-26. Should be a lot of fun!! They are also having a contest for a DT spot, for someone who has never been on a design team before. Check out WeScrap's Next Top Designer info here.

Cards, Sneak Peek and an Awesome Sale!!

Well I spent about an hour today sorting my paper scraps out. I have a 12x12x6 drawer just full of scraps!! So I am challenging myself to use up some of my scraps by making cards. I am a page layout kind of girl, so making cards is a real challenge for me, takes forever. I actually made 3 Halloween cards today, though I think I would have to make cards non-stop for the next year to use all my scraps up LOL!

And tomorrow is the very last day of Kristeena's Crafts going out of business sale. There are not too many products left, but you should definitely check it out. I love a sale!! I have put in 3 orders since she started her closeout sale a couple weeks ago. Her shipping prices are great and she ships quick, though I think she is a bit backed up with all the orders right now.

Chipboard Christmas Tag

Shannon gave a little mini tutorial on how to make these cute swivelling chipboard tags on Art Freckles blog. I had to make one as soon as I read it! I used a plain Bazzill tree chip, added some rubons, a die cut greeting and some ink, then attached it to a green chipboard tag. Too cute! You can check out the instructions here, and when you make yours add it to the Art Freckles gallery for everyone to take a look at.

Well, it's official... Shannon has invited me to be on the design team of her brand new venture: Art Freckles!! Woo hoo!! I am sooooo excited!

She has monthly kits that are not only gorgeous but affordable. The official opening will be November 1st, but there just may be an October kit...so keep checking in! There will be lots of fun stuff going on from now til then. There are giveaways on the blog and the first one starts today, so go check it out!

Bad Blogger

Well as you can see I have been a very bad blogger. Summer was busy, busy and I really didn't scrap as much as I have past summers. I have loads of pictures to scrap though (we went to Niagara Falls for 3 days and I think I took ummm...800 or so pics!) not to mention all the other outdoor activities LOL! I have been lazy about taking pics of my layouts, so I better get cracking. Now that Fall is here I have more time to myself, so I need to start sharing again. :)

And I am running really behind with my pics. I only just finished scrapping last year's Halloween pics with Halloween just around the corner. Still have to get last year's Christmas done too!

What else is new??

• There's a crop on SavvynSassy starting this Friday!! Can't wait to get the mojo flowing again!
• I have shopped way too much lately, need to use up some stuff!!
• October 4th I am going to a crop in Winchester... Tina's Scrapbooking Creations. I am excited! I haven't been to a crop in years and I am meeting one of my online buddies for the first time there. The 2 of us have a table to sell our extra scrap stuff, so hopefully I can make a few $ too!!
