April Art Freckles Kit Creations

The April Art Freckles Flea Market Summer kit is full of nice bright colours. There is Lily Bee "This and That" papers, My Mind's Eye trim, the cutest Crate Paper buttons, Maya Mist, alphas a summer rubber stamp and more! I had lots of fun with this summer inspired kit!

Home Sweet Home Sign ~ I used the Maya mist to cover the wooden sign, then used the papers buttons and ribbon to embellish it. The alphas were a bit small, so I adhered them to cardstock then cut it out around them a little bigger than the letters.
The Gardens ~ Yet another of my pages from our trip to the Botanical Gardens in Montreal. For this one I used the Art Freckles layout sketch challenge from December you can find HERE. Better late than never LOL! The sketch is by Pagemaps. I love, love, love the buttons in this kit!

You & Me ~ I misted around the edge of the page and did a lot of layering on this page of me and my daughter.

And last but not least a summer mini album using the kit, a Kaiser Craft wooden album, some twine, some Inque Boutique felt and a few other goodies from my stash.

Wow, another year gone and here it is...every scrapbookers favourite day of the year!

Art Freckles March Kit Creations

The March Art Freckles "Tweets From Nature" kit did not last long! Full of Yellow Bicycle "Twig" paper, Thickers, tickets, flowers, ribbon, canvas tags and all kinds of goodies it was one beautiful kit!! Here are my creations with it.

For You Card ~ I love the tags and ribbon that came with the kit. I put 2 of the leaf stick pins in behind so no one would get stuck!
My Best Friend Card ~ Love those corrugated Yellow Bicycle shapes! I cut up the Prima flower ribbon to make a bunch of flowers.

Jumbo Lollipops ~ I used 3 of the kit tags on this page and in keeping with the round lollipops in the pic, cut out a bunch of circles from the Twig papers.

Botanical Gardens ~ Yet another page from our trip to the botanical gardens in Montreal...I'll be done eventually!

Peek-a-Boo ~ I love these photos of my daughter and niece peeking out from behind the trees and I thought the tree paper would be perfect for the background. I cut the leaves off the satin roses and made my own out of the patterned paper.

This kit is one of my favourites (I say that a lot, but Shannon rocks at putting kits together!), hopefully you were able to get your hands on one! You can check out the rest of the Design Team's creations with this kit right HERE.

February Art Freckles Kit Creations

The February Art Freckles main kit "The Brady's" is one of my favourites!! Featuring October Afternoon paper and loads of fun embellishments!! There are still some left right HERE.

Art Freckles Kits

Well, I have been a bad blogger again and have gotten wayyyy behind! Time to play catch up this week. Here are the Art Freckles kits from February, March and the new April kits released today!!

First up February...

The February main kit "The Brady's" has October Afternoon paper (one of my fave companies) and lots of fun embellishments. This was a fabulous kit!! And there are still a few available right HERE.

The February card kit features Graphic 45 and Pink Paislee's Parisian Anthology lines. Lots of fun stuff in this kit! You can still pick it up right HERE.

Next up...March!

The March main kit "Tweets from Nature" sold out in no time flat! It featured the My Little Yellow Bicycle Twig line. Another one of my favourite kits!!

The March card kit is full of sophistication with Teresa Collins in pink & black. Beautiful!! There are a few left right HERE.

And finally on to April and today's newly released kits!!

The April "Flea Market Summer" kit is a mix of Lily Bee, My Mind's Eye and Crate Paper with lots of fun embellishments. You can pick yours up HERE before they are gone!

Art Freckles It's A Love Thing Blog Hop!!

It's time to do some blog hopping again! In honour of Valentine's Day on Monday, Art Freckles is having an "It's a Love Thing" blog hop today!!

For your scrapbooking entertainment and inspiration here is a lovey layout I did of my hubby and I. I combined 2 of Art Freckles kits to make it: this month's The Brady's kit (one of my fave's!) and the December 2010 card kit.






















I also made 4 Valentine's Day cards using the November 2010 card kit. It is a Christmas themed card kit, but with a few lovey embellishments from my stash (MYB, MM & Pink Paislee) I was able to do a love theme! Shows just how versatile the kits are!!
























I used one Pagemaps sketch to do all 4 cards and the sketch is Art Freckles card sketch of the month for February! You can find the sketch and the challenge thread right HERE.

January Challenges

I got a couple of Art Freckles challenges done this month...

First there is the layout sketch challenge. The sketch is by Pagemaps. You can check the sketch out in the challenge thread HERE. This was also from our trip to Niagara Falls 2 years ago, lunch at the Rainforest Cafe.

And MY challenge on Art Freckles for January is to use rubons! You can check out my challenge thread HERE. I used rubons for the title and on little plastic pieces stapled to the bottom right of the page.

Marineland

One of my goals for 2011 is to get caught up on scrapping some older photos so I can get some of the hundreds of layouts I have sitting in drawers into albums. I have been working on our vacation to Niagara Falls in the summer of 2008 for the last couple of weeks. Here are a few pages from our trip to Marineland. I was also using up some of my older Fancy Pants papers...another goal ~ use up some of my stash!

Christmas Gifts

I made a few Christmas gifts this year. My Mom knits gifts for people all the time, usually baby blankets...so I used a set of Stampin' Up knitting stamps to make a bunch of cards for her to give with her gifts. Here are a couple of the cards:























And I made this banner for my niece. It looks small in the photo, but it goes across the top of the door to her room. I love how it turned out!

Art Freckles January Kit Creations

Another month means another fabulous Art Freckles kit! This month's kit is called "First Kiss" and it's full beautiful Pink Paislee papers as well as Girls Paperie embellishments, ribbon, a butterfly and more! You can pick it up HERE.

I made 2 cards using the January sketch challenge from Art Freckles found HERE. The sketch is by Pagemaps.


I altered an old Making Memories package to make a cute gift box for tags and notecards.

I love when background papers don't need a lot added to them and there are lots of those kinds of papers in this kit!

The Paper Girl Sticker Market stickers come with so many different ones you'll be using them for a long time! There are the big alphas I used for "Miga", the more delicate pink alphas I used for "wear", the little tiny word stickers I used for my journalling, as well as some border stickers! And there are 2 sheets of the word stickers!!

I still have lots of the kit left, so I will probably do some more creating with it as the month goes by!
